Product Description
Wonder Man Season 1 introduces Simon Williams, a talented but struggling Hollywood actor who is determined to make his mark in the entertainment industry.
Simon is searching for his big break when he crosses paths with Trevor Slattery, a once-famous actor whose career has taken a very different direction. Simon soon discovers that legendary filmmaker Von Kovak is remaking the superhero movie Wonder Man, giving him the opportunity he has been waiting for.
As Simon pursues the role, he must navigate auditions, Hollywood politics, personal relationships, and the pressure of becoming a superhero while keeping his own extraordinary abilities hidden.
The series combines superhero storytelling with Hollywood satire, comedy, friendship, and character-driven drama. Rather than focusing solely on traditional superhero battles, Wonder Man explores Simon’s struggles as an actor and his complicated journey toward discovering what it means to become a hero.
Season 1 consists of eight episodes and stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams and Ben Kingsley as Trevor Slattery. The series was created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest.
