The Lowdown Season 1 (2BD) Blu-ray
The Lowdown is a gritty crime drama and mystery series created by Sterlin Harjo, the creator of Reservation Dogs, and starring Ethan Hawke as unconventional citizen journalist Lee Raybon.
Set in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the series follows Lee, a self-described “truthstorian” whose obsession with uncovering the truth repeatedly gets him into trouble. While investigating corruption and hidden secrets in his community, Lee finds himself drawn into a dangerous mystery involving one of Tulsa’s most powerful families.
Season 1
Season 1 begins when Dale Washberg, a member of a wealthy and influential family, dies under suspicious circumstances shortly after Lee publishes an exposé about the family.
Lee becomes convinced that there is more behind Dale’s death than initially appears. Following clues left behind by Dale, he begins investigating the Washberg family and discovers a complicated web of relationships, secrets, corruption, and competing interests.
His investigation brings him into contact with Betty Jo, Dale’s widow, and Donald Washberg, a powerful political figure. Lee also attracts the attention of Marty, a mysterious private investigator who appears to have his own reasons for following the case.
As Lee digs deeper, his investigation becomes increasingly dangerous. His search for the truth takes him through Tulsa’s hidden networks while putting him into conflict with people who would rather keep their secrets buried.
The series balances the darker elements of crime and corruption with dry humor, eccentric characters, and the unconventional personality of Lee Raybon.
Season 1 consists of 8 episodes, following Lee’s investigation from the initial suspicious death through the increasingly complicated chain of events surrounding the Washberg family.
This 2BD Blu-ray collection brings together Season 1 of The Lowdown, offering a compelling combination of crime, mystery, drama, comedy, and investigative storytelling.
