Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 (4-Disc) DVD
Set aboard the legendary USS Enterprise, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds follows Captain Christopher Pike and his crew as they explore the galaxy, encounter unfamiliar civilizations and face challenges across the final frontier.
Season 3 continues directly from the dramatic events of Season 2, with Captain Pike and the Enterprise crew dealing with the aftermath of their encounter with the Gorn. As they continue their mission of exploration, the crew encounters new threats, mysterious worlds and unexpected challenges.
Across the season, Pike, Spock, Number One and the rest of the Enterprise crew become involved in a wide variety of missions. Their adventures include dangerous rescue operations, encounters in Klingon space, mysterious ancient ruins, holodeck investigations, survival situations and encounters with unfamiliar forms of life.
The season also continues the personal stories of the Enterprise crew. Characters including Spock, Christine Chapel, La’an Noonien-Singh, Nyota Uhura, Erica Ortegas, Joseph M’Benga, Una Chin-Riley and Montgomery “Scotty” Scott face their own challenges while working together aboard the Enterprise.
Season 3 features 10 episodes, combining science fiction and space exploration with action, adventure, drama, mystery and occasional comedy.
Among the season’s adventures, Captain Pike leads a dangerous rescue mission in “Hegemony, Part II,” while later episodes take the crew into Klingon space, investigate ancient ruins, explore a prototype holodeck and confront threats on unfamiliar worlds.
The season finale, “New Life and New Civilizations,” sees an ancient alien threat return, forcing Pike to make a difficult decision as the Enterprise faces another major crisis.
