Step into the dark and mysterious world of Dolls (1986), a cult horror film directed by Stuart Gordon.
During a violent storm, a family and several stranded travelers seek shelter in an isolated old mansion. The house belongs to an elderly couple who make and collect dolls, and at first their unusual home appears to offer a safe place to escape the storm.
But as night falls, the visitors begin to discover that the dolls are far more than simple toys. Strange events unfold throughout the mansion as the seemingly harmless figures reveal a terrifying and deadly secret.
The film combines supernatural horror, dark comedy, creepy atmosphere, and fairy-tale elements, creating a distinctive horror experience that stands apart from conventional haunted-house movies. IMDb classifies Dolls as Dark Comedy and Supernatural Horror, while Tubi lists it under Horror and Comedy.
Directed by Stuart Gordon, the film features performances from Ian Patrick Williams, Carolyn Purdy-Gordon, Carrie Lorraine, Guy Rolfe, Hilary Mason, Stephen Lee, Bunty Bailey, and Cassie Stuart.
With its combination of murderous dolls, an isolated mansion, supernatural mystery, and dark humor, Dolls has become a memorable cult title for fans of classic horror cinema.
This 1BD Blu-ray is a great addition to collections focused on supernatural horror, cult movies, dark comedy, creepy dolls, and classic genre filmmaking.
