Product Description
Enter the volatile world of the Cody family in Animal Kingdom, a crime drama centred on loyalty, ambition, family secrets and the consequences of a life built around criminal activity.
After the death of his mother, teenager Joshua “J” Cody moves to Oceanside, Southern California, to live with his estranged relatives. He soon discovers that the family is involved in a dangerous criminal enterprise led by its formidable matriarch, Janine “Smurf” Cody.
As J becomes increasingly involved in the family’s operations, he must learn to navigate the complicated relationships and rivalries between Smurf and her sons: Pope, Craig and Deran. The arrival of new jobs, old enemies and personal conflicts continually puts the family’s fragile alliances to the test.
Across six seasons, the Codys face increasingly difficult choices as they attempt to protect their criminal empire while dealing with betrayal, revenge, police investigations and the consequences of their past actions. The series also explores the family’s history, revealing how earlier events shaped the people they have become.
Featuring intense heists, family power struggles and character-driven storytelling, Animal Kingdom combines crime, suspense, action and drama in a story about a family whose bonds are tested by the dangerous world they inhabit.
The sixth season is the series’ final season, bringing the Cody family’s story toward its conclusion.
