Product Description
Stargate Universe Season 1-2 The Complete Series (2BD) Blu-ray
Travel beyond the Stargate and embark on an extraordinary journey through deep space with Stargate Universe.
The series follows a group of military personnel, scientists, and civilians who are forced through a Stargate after their secret off-world base comes under attack. Instead of returning to Earth, the survivors find themselves aboard the ancient spaceship Destiny, a mysterious vessel traveling through the distant reaches of the universe.
With no way to control the ship’s destination and limited supplies, the group must learn how to operate the ancient technology while searching for a way home.
Season 1
Season 1 introduces the crew of the Destiny as they struggle to survive aboard the ancient ship.
Led by figures including Dr. Nicholas Rush and Colonel Everett Young, the group must overcome conflicts within the crew while dealing with unfamiliar planets, limited resources, alien dangers, and the mysteries surrounding the Destiny.
As the crew explores new worlds through the ship’s Stargate, they begin uncovering secrets about the vessel and its original mission.
The season combines science fiction, space exploration, survival, adventure, and character-driven drama.
Season 2
Season 2 continues the Destiny’s journey through the universe as the crew faces increasingly dangerous situations.
With supplies running low and the ship continuing along an unknown course, the crew encounters new worlds and threats while struggling with internal conflicts and difficult decisions.
The season expands the mysteries surrounding the Destiny and the wider Stargate universe while continuing the stories of its diverse group of survivors.
Season 2 is the final season of Stargate Universe, bringing the series’ two-season story to its conclusion. MGM’s home-entertainment announcement specifically described Season 2 as the second and final season.
The Destiny
At the center of the series is the ancient spacecraft Destiny, which becomes both the crew’s home and their greatest mystery.
Traveling through deep space, Destiny allows the crew to explore distant planets and encounter unfamiliar civilizations and dangers. The ship’s advanced but largely unknown technology creates many of the challenges faced by the survivors.
The series explores themes of discovery, survival, teamwork, leadership, sacrifice, and the search for a way home.
