Product Description
Step into the everyday world of Doug and Carrie Heffernan with The King of Queens, a beloved American sitcom filled with family life, friendship, marriage, workplace comedy and plenty of hilarious misunderstandings.
The series follows Doug Heffernan, a parcel delivery driver living in Queens, New York, with his wife Carrie. Their relatively ordinary married life becomes much more complicated when Carrie’s eccentric father, Arthur Spooner, moves in with them.
Doug and Carrie try to balance their marriage, careers, friendships and family responsibilities while dealing with Arthur’s unpredictable personality and the many everyday problems that come their way.
Doug’s friends and co-workers, including Deacon Palmer, Spence Olchin and others, regularly become involved in his plans and schemes. Meanwhile, Carrie often finds herself trying to keep Doug, Arthur and everyone around them under control.
The comedy comes from the characters’ contrasting personalities and the situations they encounter, ranging from marriage and friendship to work, money, family disagreements and the challenges of everyday life.
Across its nine-season run, The King of Queens developed a large ensemble of memorable characters and became known for its character-driven humour and relatable stories about married life and family relationships. The series originally aired from 1998 to 2007 and concluded after nine seasons and 207 episodes.
